Billing Principles
FNQ Family Practice is a bulk billing clinic, telephone consults will be charged privately.
A list of fees are available at our reception desk. Fees are payable at the time of consultation by credit card or EFTPOS. Additional out of pocket expenses may be incurred for some procedures, wound dressings & medicals performed.
If you have difficulty in paying our fees, please discuss this with our Practice Manager.

Communication Policy
Telephone
Telephone calls from patients will not generally be put through to doctors. Our reception staff are happy to take messages or assist you with any general questions regarding your healthcare. If you have a medical question after seeing one of our doctors, you can speak with the nurse and she will discuss your concerns with the doctor. If you have an urgent medical problem then our nurses will try to organise an urgent appointment with one of our doctors. Emails and Facsimiles are reviewed on a daily basis.
FNQ Family Practice has an email address for the use of administrative purposes only. This email address is checked on a regular basis but is not for the purpose of clinical correspondence. All information relating to your health must be discussed with the Doctor during consultation. Please Note: For any immediate attention you must call the practice on 07 4725 0131.
While we make every effort to keep your information secure we want to remind our patients that electronic communications and information can potentially be compromised and accessed by persons outside of our practice. Patients communicating with FNQ Family Practice through email do so at their own risk.
Patient Health Information
All records are stored securely on our clinical software which is regularly monitored by our IT support. Any records supplied to our clinic will be uploaded to your file for your Doctor/s to view and advise if further follow up or action is required. If you wish to request records, this must be in writing from another practice and signed by you to authorise our staff to release the information. A Health Summary is supplied at no cost, fees may apply for further records.
Feedback and Complaints
Should you have any feedback regarding your care, please email pm@fnqfamilypractice.com.au alternatively you may speak with our practice manager. If you have any concerns about the care from your doctor, please immediately discuss this with your doctor so that your concerns can be managed.
Should you have ongoing concerns, then we are happy to offer you a second opinion from another doctor at the practice. We are always trying to improve our service, and are happy to address any written complaints from our patients.
