Our Team

Dr Suraby is one of our female GPs working on a Wednesday and Thursday.  Her special interests are  Women's Sexual Health and all aspects of General Practice.

Dr Siva has worked as a doctor for over 23 years. His special interests include skin cancer surgery and skin check-ups, complex mental health, Geriatric care, sexual health and family planning. Additionally, he has a wide array of clinical skills and frequently performs joint injections, iron transfusion and therapeutic venesection.

Dr Praba has been a well known GP in Townsville (Kirwan). He graduated from Sri Lanka in 2002. His special interests are in women's and child health. He enjoys all aspects of general practice including skin cancer screening and  minor surgery, general surgical procedures, indigenous health,  chronic disease management, acute medical conditions and  mental health .

 Dr Vigna graduated from Sri Lanka in 1999 and started working as a GP in Australia in 2011. He has a special interest in Child Health, chronic diseases, mental health and Indigenous Health.

 Dr  Nancy Kiumbura is an experienced and dedicated healthcare professional  who is committed to delivering high-quality care to all patients.  

Dr. Inthumathy completed her medical degree in Sri Lanka in 2002 and honed her skills as a GP through to 2011. Dr Inthumathy then made the move to Australia, where she began practicing as a GP in Australia in 2015. Dr. Inthumathy has particular interest in Women's Health and Child Health.

Dr Heeraa is a full time Female GP working at FNQ Family  Practice.  Dr Heeraa completed her Degree at James Cook University.  She  has an interest in chronic health conditions, women's health and  paediatrics. 

Dr Nasrin Milani has been a registered general practitioner in  Iran since 2006.  She has worked as a general practitioner for more than  17 years in Iran.  After graduating as an Internal Medicine specialist  in Iran, she has worked as a Physician from 2016 until now. She was  distinguished as 'The Physician of the Year 2021' by the Iran Medical  Council Organization (Mashhad branch). Dr Milani's areas of medical  interest include chronic disease management, acute medical condition's,  geriatric care, mental health, women's and children's health.

 I was trained as a cardiac anaesthetist overseas, eventually saw the light and retrained as a general practitioner.

I like all aspects of general practice and am currently doing a certificate course in skin cancer medicine and have completed extended skills training in Sexual Health Medicine. I am a certified prescriber for HIV treatment and working towards being a prescriber of Hepatitis B drugs.

I am pro choice and have a keen interest in contraception, menopause and trained for mirena insertion, implanon insertions and medical termination of pregnancy.

I am immensely passionate about environmental issues, and try to 'bike the talk' by being a member of Doctors for Environment Australia, an organisation which advocates for the health of our planet.

I am fluent in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and have basic expertise in Kannada and Tamil.

Outside of work, I am getting trained in South Indian Classical dance forms and enjoy biking.

Dr Omid Akbar was born in December 1991 in Shirenz, Iran. After  earning his Medical Degree from Yazd University of Medical Sciences, Dr  Omid practiced as a full time General Practitioner & Part Time ED  Doctor, while completing courses in difference areas of Medicine. His main goal is advancing himself in Medical Practices and improving  patients outcomes, while making every patient feel heard and cared for. Enjoying every aspect of General Practice, his main inters are Chronic  Disease Management, Infectious Disease & Mental Health. In his spare time, he enjoys running and reading novels.
